Our goal is to redefine the realms of art and fashion by seamlessly merging contemporary elements with the rich cultural heritage of Nyonya Art of Beading. manekNya offers contemporary Peranakan beaded shoes & lifestyle items, crafted with care by skilled artisans from underrepresented communities, based in Singapore & Malaysia.


At manekNya, we also conduct beads embroidery workshops to learn this traditional craft from our skilled artisans.

Peranakan Beading Workshop

During this workshop, participants will delve into the world of beads embroidery and learn the ins and outs of this beautiful art form. Our Master Artisan will provide expert guidance on everything from selecting the best materials and tools to creating intricate designs and patterns with beads embroidery. Whether you have a passion for fashion and design or simply want to make your very own beaded shoes; this workshop is an excellent opportunity for you to explore your creativity &  embroidery!

3-HOUR BASIC BEADS EMBROIDERY WORKSHOP

A comprehensive and engaging workshop that provides a hands-on experience, teaching the basics of the art of beads embroidery. With our Master Artisan guidance and practical demonstrations, you will learn the skills necessary to create intricate designs using beads and thread, resulting in beautiful and unique pieces of artwork. (Average of 400 beads)

OPEN TOE SHOE*, 3-HOUR BEADS EMBROIDERY WORKSHOP

Unique opportunity to learn the art of bead embroidery and create your own custom-designed beaded shoes. This beginner-friendly workshop provides all the necessary tools and materials to create a stunning pair of open-toe sandals. (Average of 5000 beads)

Our studio @ Bangsar, KL is available for booking on Mon-Sat from 10am to 5pm (Contact +65 9375 2773). You need to complete it at home & bring it back to our studio for us to pass it to our shoemaker!
